Wolff rating: GOOD
Plot summary: A woman of questionable morals is raped, but she is blamed for the incident and gets a raw deal from the justice system.
Biased, pithy comments: Foster portrays a strong but unfortunately stupid character, and seeing her determinedly screw things up is hard to watch, but she does it very well. The movie seems opportunistic in today's times, as this issue has come to the fore, but it was more insightful at the time than now.
Other Notes: Foster is nominated for an Oscar for this performance.
