Biased, pithy comments: This is a charming movie---friendly, fun, beautiful. Jeunet has left behind the darkness of ``City of Lost Children'' and ``Delicatessen'' and replaced it with sun-drenched impishness, along with some twee Paris locations. Oh, you could complain bitterly that Paris is too well-scrubbed, the tone impossibly light, but Jeunet has found a way to touch this movie with bits of darkness; the line between stalking and what Amelie does is very thin, and he makes it clear he knows it.
