Wolff rating: GOOD
Plot summary: Two slackers invent a garage game that somehow, like the XFL, goes national and picks up scores of fans.
Biased, pithy comments: I like David Zucker. He's not above dick jokes, but his movies still hit strongly the themes of friendship, heroism, and large-breasted women. Parker and Stone, creators of ``South Park'', are strangely cast as leads, and they prove that nearly anyone with a straight face can star in a Zucker film and do all right. Bleeth and McCarthy are, well, two-bit starlets, but they are apparently having fun putting the whole thing together. The best jokes are in the opening three minutes. Afterwards, the film sort of staggers along, occasionally hitting a great joke, but I still laughed out loud several times during the film and found it amusing enough to watch again while I cleaned my apartment. Costas and Michaels steal the show with their commentary. Not for everyone, but I loved it.
Other Notes: Apparently suffered terribly against the release of ``There's Something About Mary.'' Bah, humbug; liked this better. I'm clearly in the minority.
