Beast of Hollow Mountain, The(1956)

Wolff rating: NIGHTMARE

Plot summary: Gringo rancher has trouble with locals, plus a few of his cows are mysteriously disappearing.

Biased, pithy comments: For a movie that prominently features the word ``beast'' in the title, there is no sign of him just about anywhere in the movie until the last half hour. When we do finally see him, he looks suspicously like a seven-inch claymation model matted (poorly) onto some overexposed Mexican landscape. The acting ranges from wooden to actually actively bad, and the scenes are filled with noise and motion that seem futile and pointless.

Other Notes: Good group-scream movie. Svengoolie.

How many times I have seen it: x1

Starring: Guy Madison, Patricia Medina, Carlos Revas.
Directed by: Edward Nassour and Ismael Rodriguez
