Plot summary: Gangster and his policeman brother work out their inner and outer conflicts using copious machinegun fire.
Biased, pithy comments: That's a glib summary of a very tight movie about what it means to control your destiny, what it means to love, what it means to be a friend, and the limit of the number of dead drugrunner flunkies you can fit into one scene. Gory, but powerful. Woo's breakthrough film, to be followed by looser but bloodier followups like ``Hardboiled'' and ``The Killer.''
