Wolff rating: NOT BAD
Plot summary: Three Irish-American brothers are having relationship angst.
Biased, pithy comments: This screams, ``First Feature Length Film From This Director'', but that's not always a bad thing. However, with credit-card funding, one comes to expect something really on the outskirts of acceptable cinema---an edginess not found in a Hollywood story. This introspective movie instead moves really too slowly and unpredictably for Hollywood, but lacks nervousness. Also, Burns and his (real life) girlfriend are on screen, and neither of them are talented, which deflates one of the three stories pretty badly. Still, the other two (most espeically McGlone) pull their weight through some fun/awkward scenes. For me, this was a take-it-or-leave-it movie, but for others it might speak more definitely to their own problems. I'm happy to see more from this director, but I doubt this will be his best work by any stretch.
