Wolff rating: GOOD
Plot summary: A young writer has to sell out to the mob to get his play produced and ends up with some odd editing advice.
Biased, pithy comments: Allen is fortunately not actually *in* this picture, but his ironic tone is darkly present throughout. It addresses an interesting moral question stated early on, but it occasionally gets bogged down in the anthropic trouble that if you write about irritating people, you get an irritating movie. Good performances all around. A must see for all would-be writers.
Other Notes: ``I'm a whore!''
How many times I have seen it: x1
Starring: John Cusack, Chazz Palimentari, Rob Reiner, Diane Wiest
