Wolff rating: NOT BAD
Plot summary: High school witches start raising powers they don't entirely control.
Biased, pithy comments: A more heavy-handed producer would have made this film into some painful metaphor for drug-use, but instead this film just bops along taking itself very seriously despite the ludicrousness of its premise. Chemistry between the leads is on-and-off, and while I had fun and was interested, it seemed very high-schoolish; sort of ``Nightmare on Elm Street,'' only more melodramatic than creepy. A few good moments and some nice special effects make me want to give this movie a higher rating, but I think only teens will think this is anything profound.
