Wolff rating: GOOD
Plot summary: Down-under bushman ends up in New York following a rich journalist.
Biased, pithy comments: Hogan's performance holds up this silly fish-out-of-water story of a total country boy meeting New York. As New Yorkers are charmed on screen, we're charmed by this outgoing, friendly performance. Little details, like Dundee quickly switching to shaving with his giant knife instead of a plastic razor to impress his girlfriend, makes it a romantic comedy worth remembering. Probably not the best movie ever made, but a sweet one nonetheless.
Other Notes: Tragically, Kozlowski ends up in `Village of the Damned', also reviewed here. Yrrg.
How many times I have seen it: x2
