Daddy-O(1959)

Wolff rating: NIGHTMARE

Plot summary: Young man on probation for drag racing is caught up in a low-quality web of crime and intrigue.

Biased, pithy comments: Hike, hike, hike up your pants now! Besides the ludicrous costuming and vamping acting, this movie contains a score by none other than a young John Williams, trying to break into film, with only a few TV credits to his name. The musical numbers aren't forerunners of his smash-hit scoring of Spielberg vehicles, and the story is preposterous and illogical. Skip, skip, skip unless you're watching it with the 'bots.

Other Notes: \MST.

Starring: Dick Contino, Sandra Giles, Joseph Donte, Jack McClure.
