Wolff rating: GOOD
Plot summary: A tense character study set in Chile, with a woman convinced that a visitor is the man who terrorized her during the repressive days of the revolution.
Biased, pithy comments: A complicated movie with excellent acting and a compelling plot. It suffers a little from seeming too much like a play; remote, a little fictional---you feel sometimes like you're sitting right in front of the orchestra pit at the playhouse, but otherwise a solid performance.
Other Notes: Based on play by Ariel Dorfman, inspired by real events.
How many times I have seen it: x1
