Wolff Movie Index

Dolores Claiborne(1994)

Wolff rating: GOOD

Plot summary: Journalist goes back to Maine to her estranged mother accused of murder.

Biased, pithy comments: Actually, I think this would have been a much better show if it hadn't been for the fact that it rested on the creaking foundation of Stephen King's writing. We've seen most of these characters before from other angles in other stories, but if you aren't a King afficianado, this will be sufficiently interesting to warrant a watch. If you're familiar (and, like me, not always thrilled by) with King, you'll find this closer to a NOT BAD rating.

How many times I have seen it: x1

Starring: Kathy Bates, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judy Parfitt, Christopher Plummer
Directed by: Taylor Hackford
