Plot summary: Cop demoted to a post on Long Island catches a murder, which leads him back to his buddies at the 2-7 in Manhattan.
Biased, pithy comments: I like the TV show ``Law and Order.'' It's awesome; a miracle of tight direction and tense scripts with interesting moral issues. This movie feels bloated, then, when we follow the same sort of script for two hours. I liked it, it was fun, but it wasn't great art. A sort of average TV movie, although it does have Chris Noth. I liked Noth on the show, but if we're going to bring back characters, I want Claire Kincaid.
