Wolff rating: UNSURPASSED
Plot summary: Johnny Gray's locomotive is stolen (along with his true love), and he has to go after it!
Biased, pithy comments: Inspired by real events in the Civil War, there are zillions of extras, great special effects, and the incomparable Keaton. This is really one of Keaton's finest movies, and watching it is like watching Jackie Chan, only with more of the American Civil War. However, Keaton doesn't move quite like Chan---he has more of the clowning down right. Keaton had a big hand in putting this film together, from direction to editing to his impeccable acting. A sweet love story with lots of action. Yow! See it!
Other Notes: There was only one way I could think of they could get that scene at the end, and it wasn't with miniatures. Slient.
How many times I have seen it: x2
Starring: Buster Keaton, Marion Mack, Charles Smith, Glen Cavender.
