Wolff rating: PINKY-WRENCHING
Plot summary: Has anyone seen Godzilla or a related film? Imagine the same thing, only set in Ireland and London.
Biased, pithy comments: Boring, badly-shot story of green crunchy monster who destroys countless models before returning to the sea for the unshot sequel. Take the classic Tokyo metaphor for nuclear power, mix in a few Irish accents, fold in some stiff-upper-lip British military scenes, and finally puree with a stunningly dull climax with a cast of thousands of extras running from a matte. As bad as some people felt Roland Emmerlich's ``Godzilla'' was, it was way more fun to watch than this dog. Skip it unless with the 'bots.
Other Notes: \MST. Matlin, while high, gave this film 3 stars.
