Gross Anatomy(1989)

Wolff rating: NOT BAD

Plot summary: Some students compete, thrive, or washout in medical school.

Biased, pithy comments: Probably the most classic modern medical school drama made recently, this is a passable script acted very well. Tragically, the solid cast has little to work with, and so we have a well-directed, well-acted, compelling, but finally flawed film. Shows like this are hard to rate, because you *want* to like them, but you can't for their obvious weaknesses. At this point, watch the first 10 episodes of ``ER'' for the same feeling with a better script.

How many times I have seen it: x2

Starring: Matthew Modine, Daphine Zuniga, Christine Lahti, Todd Field, Alice Carter
Directed by: Thom Eberhardt
