Wolff rating: MOSTLY HARMLESS
Plot summary: A rich lawyer's wife is implicated in a murder of a wealthy art collector.
Biased, pithy comments: Joe Esterhaus wrote 'Basic Instinct', but rather than move on to greener pastures, he instead decided to write it again, only with less tact and plot. I have to admit to be downright bored from time to time, plus wildly unimpressed by the lavish sets, beautiful women, random sex, and pointless swearing. This is not a movie of which to be proud. Don't even watch it because Fiorentino is pretty; she's wasted, much as everyone else.
Other Notes: Caruso left NYPD Blue for this? Also contains the most boring car chase ever made in San Francisco.
How many times I have seen it: x1
Starring: David Caruso, Linda Fiorentino, Joe Mantegna
