King Solomon's Mines (revised)(1983(?))

Wolff rating: FAIR

Plot summary: African explorer Alan Quartermain sets off to find endless riches in King Solomon's Mines.

Biased, pithy comments: Sure, it's *supposed* to be campy. Sure, it's *supposed* to have cheesy lines and cheesier acting. Sure, it's *supposed* to have a disconnected plot stolen loosely from the original book and the movie in 1950. Still, this weak Indiana Jones rip-off requires you to accept such poor acting, poor sound quality, and terrible writing that it leaves you wishing that somebody with that much money to spend in Tanzinia (Golan-Globus, responsible for other disasters) could have made a *cool* Indiana Jones rip-off.

Other Notes: Sharon Stone is especially painful.

How many times I have seen it: x2

Starring: Richard Chamberlain, Sharon Stone
