Wolff rating: NIGHTMARE
Plot summary: Teenager finds strange necklace and nifty gun and goes around, well, blasting things with his laser.
Biased, pithy comments: To quote my hero, Tom Servo, this movie has gone through a scientific process called ''tension extraction''. To call it bad would be too nice. There are vast tracts of nothing happening, some really unpleasant shots with our hero being a hip teen wearing no shirt, and some really stultifying dialog. The fact that the plot makes little or no sense, characters aren't introduced, and that (once again paraphrasing Tom) home movies are more tightly-edited, didn't seem to stop Leonard Maltin from giving a high score to this one.
Other Notes: \MST. One viewer dissented with my opinion, saying the special effects were a lot better on the big screen. I *still* think it would have been awful weak.
How many times I have seen it: x1
Starring: No one you'd know except Roddy McDowell as ''Dr. Mellon''
