Wolff rating: MOSTLY HARMLESS
Plot summary: Retarded boy gets hits of an experimental drug and some cheesy ``virtual reality'' and becomes superhuman.
Biased, pithy comments: Skillessly combining elements of all of King's previous characters and some of ``The Shocker'', I can honestly say that this was weak, even with the mediocre graphics effects. If you're looking for acting, skip this, and the ``controversial VR'' is nonesense; there's nothing remotely controversial about this plodding Steven King sci-fi/horror failure.
Other Notes: I'd hate to read the book.
