Wolff rating: NOT BAD
Plot summary: A Tarrantino-style mob movie set in run-down London; the usual briefcase-full-o-something-valuable style film.
Biased, pithy comments: Ritchie has made what can only be described as a hommage to his favorite movie, ``Pulp Fiction.'' Unfortunately, he didn't wait 20 years, but rather three, leaving us wondering why he recycled nearly everything from Pulp Fiction except for the creative use of time that is Tarrantino's signature. Amusing, never boring, and awash in style, it has all the best parts of a 90s crime caper film while adding absolutely nothing to the genre. What can you say about a movie that lacks a bone of creativity but is well-done? Your mileage may vary.
Other Notes: Ritchie has made some noise about the dodgy funding he used---the movie apparently was called ``Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Overdrafts'' in Britain.
How many times I have seen it: x1
Starring: Jason Flemyng, Dexter Fletcher, Nick Moran, Jason Stham.
