Wolff rating: NOT BAD
Plot summary: Two guys who broke up with their girlfriends head to the mall and to destiny.
Biased, pithy comments: For those who have never seen ``Clerks'' this will seem unfamiliar but affable, sort of a gen-Xer comedy making fun of dating, dating games, fanboys, and of the mall mentality. For those who have seen Smith's earlier, seminal work, this will seem to be a rehash of the same ideas, themes, and characters with better lighting, acting, and filming, but with less grity intensity and offbeat charm. The whole film is a little uneven and has a bit of deus ex machina loose to tie up loose ends. Not Smith's best work; watch Clerks and like it better.
