Plot summary: Suicide hotline operators are more messed up than the people they are supposed to help, all on Christmas.
Biased, pithy comments: Sort of a bizarre, crazy tale that gets out of hand, but of course it was never in hand, so you can't have the fun of watching it get nutsy. Some of the dialog is excellent, the transvestite is remarkably looney, and the music (done by George Fenton) is the right level of cheese and Christmas. Unfortunately, the plot is frenzied without funny, rather predictable, and not particularly inspiring. Too bad, too, with such a great cast. A miss, most likely.
Other Notes: Definitely not worth renting, which is a low score from this movie-buff.
