Wolff rating: FAIR
Plot summary: Two transit cops (who are unlikely brothers) find themselves at war with both their boss and each other.
Biased, pithy comments: Curiously amoral, oddly written, and kind of random, this movie is both painfully stupid at times and also compelling. Since the morality of the movie is in question, the outcome is, also---how will they get out of this one? If they do, how should we feel about it? It also is a litany of things people have always wanted to try in the subway---ride motorcycles through it, bait muggers, run up the escalator divider, etc. Unfortunately, the surrounding material is derivative (in a bad way), hollow, wildly implausible, recycled, and loud without being very exciting. Snipes and Harrelson are talented but not excessively so, while Lopez steams up the screen outshowing both of them. I don't recommend this film, but I can't say I didn't watch the whole thing with some interest.
Other Notes: ``I'll fuck you dead.'' ``Does that mean he wants to fuck us before or after we're dead?''
