Wolff rating: NOT BAD
Plot summary: A view across the life of a comic of the likes of Alan King.
Biased, pithy comments: Although it leaps into the blatantly nostalgic, almost to the point of beating you senseless with some of the more drippy bits of yearning for simpler times, I still can't say it was all drek, and I rather enjoyed parts of it, the more romantic or more humorous parts. I like Billy Crystal, but this isn't his best role---the clown that is all tears on the inside has gotten a little stale. Still, a fun watch.
Other Notes: Video tape has interesting, if pointless, set of scenes cut from the movie tacked on at the end.
How many times I have seen it: x1
Starring: Billy Crystal, David Paymer, Julie Warner, Helen Hunt
Directed by: Billy Crystal
