Multiplicity(1996)

Wolff rating: FAIR

Plot summary: Overworked building contractor clones himself to give himself more time to live.

Biased, pithy comments: Ramis had a good gag, good actors (with the possible exception of McDowell), and really great special effects, but it didn't gel. The story seems to be an excuse for what tend to be tired ``Three's Company'' level scenes of trying to fool the wife into thinking there's only one Doug. Probably a miss, but that's too bad---it might have really worked. Some of the dialog and little hints dropped imply that there was a lot of story that ended up on the cutting-room floor.

How many times I have seen it: x1

Starring: Michael Keaton, Andie McDowell, John ``Que'' DeLancie
Directed by: Harold Ramis
