Wolff Movie Index

Postino, Il(1996)

Wolff rating: GOOD

Plot summary: Sweet tale of a islander with low ambitions who becomes the postman for a famous poet sent into exile.

Biased, pithy comments: Beautifully shot and some wonderful lines. Mario Ruppolo finds his voice under the auspices of this island. What more can I say? See it, enjoy it, be carried away, and then wonder why all the best Italian movies are set in the 50s, while all the worst are set around Hercules?

Other Notes: Highest grossing foreign film in the U.S. to date.

How many times I have seen it: x1

Starring: ??
