Wolff rating: NIGHTMARE
Plot summary: Whiny paleologist discovers that he's a direct-line male descendant of some sort of goofy alien inheritance that gives him sort of murky superpowers, including the ability to convincingly play dead.
Biased, pithy comments: Italian popular movies are often bizarre cheap knockoffs of American films; this one seems to be a grab at Superman's 1978 success. Alton has none of the charisma of Christopher Reeve, though, nor the pecs of a superhero. Fuentes is the real hero; he can take a punch, has a goal, and is a total badass; Alton is the titular hero but acts more like a specialist brought in to do the teleportation that Fuentes can't. Most embarassing is the ungainly rear-projection flying. No, wait, most embarassing is the cheesy electronic music. No, I'm *sure* the most embarassing is them trying to pass off Rome as London. Oh, wait---the most embarassing is Donald Pleasance, who is on his tragic trajectory into B-movie obscurity, ending with the ill-fated Hallowe'en movies.
Other Notes: \MST. Note that beautiful chick's character's last name is Dobson. Sigh.
