Plot summary: Leather-clad archaelogist sets off to find the lost Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis do.
Biased, pithy comments: It's tough to outdo this film. It has some of the best action sequences ever (in their own ``Perils of Pauline'' way) and extremely tight direction with good attention to detail. You can watch it hundreds of times and still get caught up in the action, or at least I do. Ford is an old-fashioned hero.
Other Notes: Recommend widescreen and good sound system. (I recommend that for every movie, but in this case it's richly justified.) Score by Williams has the been the music of my youth.
