Wolff rating: NOT BAD
Plot summary: Family goes rafting but runs into trouble with some dangerous other rafters.
Biased, pithy comments: Beautifully shot, nicely (though not excellently, with the exception of Streep) acted, and generally a big exciting movie. Lacks, however, in ingenuity and clearly sums to something no greater than its parts. There are a few moments of ``Why don't they just shoot him/her?'' and there isn't a theme of any sort, making it seem more like a made-for-TV movie than a Streep vehicle. Still, rent it when you want turn your brain off but don't want to watch Schwartzenegger.
Other Notes: Yup, that's Benjamin Braitt from ``Law'n'Order'' playing yet-another-minority-cop.
How many times I have seen it: x1
Starring: Meryl Streep, Kevin Bacon
