Plot summary: Retarded man, released from a mental institution where he was treated for violent urges, meets a dysfunctional family in trouble.
Biased, pithy comments: This is a really solid film. Compelling, interesting, and feels coherent and accurate. Character drama is quite rich, though one or two of the supporting actors cheese up one or two scenes. Very good. See it.
Other Notes: Though released in '95, it didn't make it into theatres until '97.
