Plot summary: The ultimate action gimmick---let the bus go less than 50 miles an hour and KABOOM!
Biased, pithy comments: Probably the pinnacle of the modern thriller to date. Though once and a while your practical brain might put on some brakes (why don't they just shut off the.~.~.never mind), most of the time you aren't given enough time to wonder what's next. Hopper is great, Reeves is really close to breaking through his wooden facial mold, and Sandra Bullock is likeable and caustic at the same time. You'll catch your breath about an hour after the movie ends. Pregnant women, those recovering from recent surgery, and children shorter than 48'' are not allowed in the theatre.
Other Notes: Makes you think twice about public transportation.
