Plot summary: Recent college graduates discover that their lives are dreary and without meaning.
Biased, pithy comments: 80s angst is sometimes fun. There was something about an era where women are told they are valued, but are still required to have big hair and perfect makeup. I enjoyed watching this movie to flash back to the 80s; already they are looking as alien and strange as the 70s did during the 80s. But, although the cast is very talented and are acting their Brat Pack hearts out, this isn't all that great a film. Where ``The Breakfast Club'' had a sort of soul---teens get to be angstful because that's what it's all about---these liberal arts majors discovering responsibility just aren't very compelling. Except for the soundtrack and the ``Oh my, look how young *she* looks'' aspects, this isn't a great film. The personal crises are self-centered, cliche, and (at many levels) trivial, and they are really the only driving force in the plot.
Other Notes: Yup, the same director as that of ``Batman and Robin.'' Go figure.
