Star Trek II, Wrath of Khan(early 80s?)

Wolff rating: UNSURPASSED

Plot summary: Captain Kirk's old enemy Khan captures a ship and a very powerful weapon and then threatens Kirk, menaces his out-of-wedlock child, and causes lots of trouble for the crew of the Enterprise.

Biased, pithy comments: Meyer made a great action movie here, whether you're a trekkie or not, but if you are a trekkie, this is a special treat. This is the best of the Trek movies, and Nimoy and Montalbon do a great job. Shatner is, well, Shatner. Special effects are great for their time, and still have a good thrill.

Other Notes: Score by Courage is fantastic, and in this movie, Lt. Saavik is played by Kirstie Alley.

How many times I have seen it: circa 5, plus audio

Starring: William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Deforest Kelley, James Doohan, Walter Koenig, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Kirstie Alley and Ricardo Montalbon as Khan.
Directed by: Nick Meyer
