Plot summary: Rebels attack a tyrannical empire against all odds; farmboy from desert planet is their only long shot.
Biased, pithy comments: One of the great cultural icons of all time, this was a world-wide phenomenon. It paved the way for space movies and space operas in the center of attention. If you've never seen it, rush out and get a copy and prepare to be swept away (though it's a pretty odd film in many ways, given its long setup). The effects were fantastic for the time.
