Plot summary: The Air Force finds an Egyptian artifact that acts as a....right.
Biased, pithy comments: This is visually stunning and tensely directed, with performaces by Spader and Russell strong as expected. The big problem with this movie is that it needed to be a good hour or two longer to hold in the extended plot. Still, a possible winner for science-fiction action/adventure buffs; less so for others.
Other Notes: This was critically panned, generally, and I've gotten several emails disagreeing with me. I dunno---I really liked it. I love ancient history, and crossing Egyptology with SF floated my boat.
