Wolff rating: NOT BAD
Plot summary: Highway patrol pranksters feud with thuggish town cops.
Biased, pithy comments: This is a movie that seems to want to relive its fratboy years in the context of cops. No real policework is involved in this movie; it's a daffy plot that exists to pit the two sides against each other and to provide grist for the laughs. There are some real laugh-out-loud moments and quite a few cringe moments (yes, they really drank syrup and you can watch them in the outtakes), but the whole thing really doesn't transcend the whole ``Police Academy'' gig; it's a little too lackidasical and casual. Fun, but not required viewing.
Other Notes: Independent, low-budget film, but doesn't really feel like it until you realize they never crashed a car.
