Wolff rating: EXCELLENT
Plot summary: Two terminators are sent back in time, one to protect young John Connor and the other to ``terminate'' him.
Biased, pithy comments: This is really two movies, thematically---boy gets his own Terminator and learns to be a commander, and Sarah Connor turns from a victim into a terminator herself. Even with these interesting and absorbing characters, we still get a completely adrenaline-pounding thrill-ride with stunning pyrotechnics, amazing stunts, and rich digital special effects. Really, the invincible hitman movie doesn't get much better than this, though sometimes the pacing slips and Young, who isn't too bad, gets a little irking. Patrick gets all the credit for out-menacing Schwartzenegger.
Other Notes: Referenced (hilariously) in ``Wayne's World''. Director's cut contains another 20 minutes or so of exposition material which is really fun to see, but makes for less of a cool movie.
How many times I have seen it: x2
