Traveler, The(1997)

Wolff rating: NOT BAD

Plot summary: A con man (who is part of a society) takes a friend under his wing to show him the ropes.

Biased, pithy comments: This is a warm movie with a fair amount of good acting. The whole movie, though, was a little sloppy from end to end, with some wandering dialog and plot at the beginning to missed details at the end. Still, some good work all around. My other problem (though not the reason this fell below GOOD) was that it glorified, slightly, the ranks of the con artist---these people are weasels and we aren't reminded enough of that. I did like to see Julianna Margulies outside of the emergency room.

How many times I have seen it: x1

Starring: Bill Paxton, Mark Wahlberg, Julianna Margulies, James Gammon, Luke Askew.
Directed by: Jack N. Green
