Wolff rating: GOOD
Plot summary: Tense and exciting thriller about a desperate attempt by Allied soldiers to break free of their prison train.
Biased, pithy comments: By parts clever, funny, brutal, serious, and human, it's a movie about morals in the face of immoral situations. It has a solid cast (even with the stony-faced Sinatra in the lead role) and excellent directing. It's only sin is really to be somewhat dated and overshadowed by other war movies of the same ilk (most notably ``The Great Escape''). Catch it on AMC sometime.
How many times I have seen it: x1
Starring: Frank Sinatra
