The ITS literature has fractured greatly since the inception of the
term
[Sleeman and Brown 1982], and generalized comparisons between
INDIE and
ITSes is difficult. We will talk about traditional ITSes
such as ACE and the Geometry tutor together, and some of the newer
systems such as TMT and Belvedere separately.
