In the rest of this thesis, we will cover all of the aforementioned
topics in greater detail as well as other relevant issues. The
outline is as follows:
- Chapter 2 demonstrates a particular INDIE application, Volcano
Investigator, and discusses what makes up an INDIE project.
- Chapter 3 discusses what the INDIE tool provides when building
projects and then pinpoints the goals of INDIE and how to measure if
INDIE met those goals.
- Chapter 4 examines our various approaches to authoring basic
interactions in INDIE, from our model-oriented attempt in INDIE 1.0 to
our more flexible, GUI-based approach in INDIE 2.0.
- Chapter 5 shows how to build more complex, conditional
interactions in INDIE, focusing on the experiment model and the
critiquer.
- Chapter 6 talks about the authors' experiences with their
projects, with analyses of specific problems authors had with INDIE 2.0
and why they had them.
- Chapter 7 investigates other systems that are similar to INDIE in
structure and/or mission.
- Chapter 8 draws overall conclusions about INDIE and discusses
future work.
